• New Lottery Strategy and Software? - 1/14/2001.
• My lottery software goes through a paradigm shift, to quote Karl Klitser Malmberg. The lotto filters in the current embodiment of LotWon lottery software are one-dimensional. In the next incarnation, the lottery filters will be multi-dimensional, as calculated by formulas. The current version also uses a limited number of built-in filters. The next generation lottery software will incorporate more built-in filters.

• Prognostication for the Italian soccer, Serie A, for January 7, 2001 (giornata 13). Each team has its own spreadsheet, divided in record at home and record on the road. There is also a working spreadsheet, where the final calculations are done.

• The Italian soccer championship is no joke. It is a lot tougher to predict than the American football (point spread included). My method missed two games. The results were big surprises from a statistical point of view: Lazio-Napoli 1-2 and Parma-Reggina 0-2. Napoli had no wins away.

• Challenge to blackjack card counters to use their systems in real casino play. The card counters do not dare to put their system to a test. It is about the so-called "card counter catchers". They have some expertise in blackjack and card counting. Allegedly, the Nevada casinos pay them big money for their expertise. I was somehow shocked to see well-known blackjack authors and card counting "authorities" among the 'catchers". Evidently, they have been unable to make any money counting cards at the blackjack table.

• * D G Grant Gambling Challenge – How about REAL blackjack math? - 12/26/2000.
• Let's say, there is a blackjack game with 100% penetration (all cards are dealt). There are 13 cards left in the deck. How many ways can the 13 cards be arranged? 13! = 6,227,020,800, i.e. 6 billion, 227 million, 20 thousand, 800 hundred. Huge number, isn't it? How can one count on an advantage, when there are so many possibilities? I am available for the gambling challenge. Atlantic City would be the best place, since the casinos may not bar the blackjack card counters.

• The free roulette system you offer rather reminds me of another system by an author named Frank Barstow: " Beat The Casino". It has a 1979 copyright and is rather difficult to obtain. Are you familiar with this work? In his book, he presents a "Super Martingale" system which I have used profitably in the casinos (one of the very, very few which seem to win on balance).

• Obviously, playing more roulette numbers increases the winning probability. If you play the 35 numbers, the winning percentage increases, while the losing point goes farther into the future. Just apply FFG as described elsewhere at this web site. There will be a higher chance you will win if you enter the casino, go to any roulette table, and play all the numbers but the last 3 unique (double-zero table).

• Here in Australia we have a lottery called Tattslotto which uses a fairly conventional system of 6 lotto balls being drawn from 45. There are also 2 supplementary numbers drawn. We have the usual multiple picks of 6 lotto numbers and there's also system entries, ranging from system 7 to sytem 20. With system 20 for example, you can pick 20 numbers and it covers 38,760 lotto combinations.

• There is a comprehensive lottery software package that also tackles Keno games. The file on the "FTP Downloads" page: "MDIEditor and Lotto" version 4_WE. Keno is under the "Lotto" menu and "Stats" menu. There is no other lottery software package that handles Keno nearly as effectively as MDIEditor And Lotto WE.

• I noticed the same things that you have noticed as I tried four or five on-line casinos with blackjack. One of the most obvious slow-ups would occur when quite a few cards had been played, the math was a little difficult, the comparison of the blackjack hands was difficult, etc.

• I read your theory of math in roulette. As you said there is no bias in a wheel. The roulette dealers that have been spinning the ball for years can control the roulette ball almost perfect! They can spin it a few times and get their bearings and then it's bye, bye system! I played a gambling system that won me $4000 per visit and beat them all until they found out how I was playing roulette.

• The roulette dealer must have developed a bit of a hate on for me because I left. I thought maybe he was an "expert roulette thrower", and I waited until after he released it before putting my bets down for a while. I didn't win ONE. They do cheat, but it's not that they're expert throwers with keen senses of where the roulette balls will land. It's that they have the technology in those wheels to make sure you don't win for as long as they want you not to. The Blackjack dealers cheat as a matter of course.

• You say you need $5000 to play your roulette gambling system but say no system is good without an increase. You must be losing a lot or doubling one. The casino table limits will catch you too if you don't watch it. My new gambling system does not reach anywhere close to the limits. There's a simple flaw in the roulette numbers that makes the profit and knowing where to place the bets wins the cash.

• I had to write a little program that reverses the order in ASCII files: UPDOWN. The bottom of the file becomes the top of a new file. This is a DOS lottery program and only works with text files, such as LotWon lotto software data files (lottery results, drawings, past winning numbers).

• You will keep records for each team, separated in two files (spreadsheets): record at home and record on the road. Using the overall records has much lower relevance. You will work with these two very important elements: Home Team At_home and Visiting Team On_the_road. In this abbreviated version, you will use only the results (win/loss) and the points scored/allowed. Add the wins for the home team at-home with the losses for the visiting team on-the-road.

• It is better to select the lotto filters conservatively first, then more aggressively gradually. I recommended looking first for 3 consecutive increases (or decreases) of a filter. Obviously, a filter goes up or down with a 50-50 probability. Look at the Fundamental Formula of gambling (FFG) table for p=1/2. In 90% of the cases, an increase will show up within 3 lottery drawings. That is, in 90% of the drawings, an increase will not skip more than 3 drawings (the same is true about decreases).

• 1 2 3 4 5 6 lotto combination: Probable but not likely - Jim Schutte 10/18/2000.
• I am not a maths expert but I argued with my brother on a gut feeling that in a lotto 6 draw it is extremly unlikley that lotto combination 1,2,3,4,5,6 will be drawn. He maintains that it is a random series of numbers which are as likely to be drawn as any other set. I think that you agree with me when you say that such numbers are extremely rare and will be left out of selections along with strings of odd or even numbers etc.

• Do NOT play "1-2-3-4-5-6" type lotto combinations! - 10/21/2000.
• Tere is more to lottery than just the individual probability. Look at many lotto drawings, thousands if possible. You can easily calculate the average of a lotto game. A lotto 49 game has an average of 1+49=50/2=25. You can use Gauss's formula and notice something. The sum-totals of most drawings fall within the Gauss (bell) curve. It's hard to find a 1-2-3-4-5-6 combination anywhere, or a 44-45-46-47-48-49 combination. There is a much more complex explanation for the absence of such combinations.

• There have been lotto drwings going on in the USA since 1980 or so and there has never been a set of winning numbers with your lotto combination 1,2,3,4,5,6 and even if there where a set like that you wouldn't win much as there are many many lottery players who play patterns on thier lotto play slips a that is one of the geometric patterns they play.

• Always change the data file for the new format (54 lotto numbers, in your case). Backup the old Data-6 file first, if you want to keep it. Next, generate a SIM-6 file for the new format (54 lotto numbers, generate 4200 combinations). Then, start typing the real 54-number drawings in a new Data-6 file. The lotto software does not work properly if you mix lotto formats in the data files.
